The Lin Lab took a delightful spring outing to Juifen (九份) and had an exhilarating climb up Keelung Mountain. The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, and the food at 星塵景觀餐廳 was delicious!

溫堉佑 and 郭予佑, two talented high school students doing a science project in the Lin Lab, won the 2nd Prize in Animal Science at Taiwan International Science Fair (TISF). They were also selected as representatives to compete at the Buca IMSEF in Turkey later this year. Congrats to 佑s!

Dr. Suewei Lin is selected as EMBO Global Investigator

European Molecular Biology is one of the most influential scientific organizations in the world. It is constituted by over 1800 leading researchers in Europe and other countries. Each year, EMBO selects promising life scientists as Global Investigators who are within six years as group leaders in the countries covered by the cooperation agreement. This year, Dr. Suewei Lin was selected as one of the nine new EMBO Global Investigators.

As the first Ph.D. student in the lab, She had brought to us so much joy and pride. She will soon leave the lab to pursue her postdoc research at the University of Oxford in the UK. We will sure miss you, Bhagyashree!

Meng-Ting joined the team!

A belated welcome to Meng-Ting, who joined the Lin lab on 1st August 2019. She is currently a Master student in the Department of Life Sciences and Institute of Genome Sciences at National Yang-Ming University. Meng-Ting is interested in deciphering thirst-sensing in the fruit fly.

To celebrate the beginning of 2018 and say good-bye to the Rooster Year, the Lin Lab had a lunch party at 辛殿, a hot-pot restaurant. This was our second time there but the food was still delicious as always.
