The Lin Lab took a delightful spring outing to Juifen (九份) and had an exhilarating climb up Keelung Mountain. The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, and the food at 星塵景觀餐廳 was delicious!

European Molecular Biology is one of the most influential scientific organizations in the world. It is constituted by over 1800 leading researchers in Europe and other countries. Each year, EMBO selects promising life scientists as Global Investigators who are within six years as group leaders in the countries covered by the cooperation agreement. This year, Dr. Suewei Lin was selected as one of the nine new EMBO Global Investigators.

Dr. Bhagyashree Senapati completed her Ph.D. study today! It was an incredible journey for her and Lin Lab during the past few years. As the first Ph.D. student in the lab, She had brought to us so much joy and pride. She will soon leave the lab to pursue her postdoc research at the University of Oxford in the UK. We will sure miss you, Bhagyashree!

A belated welcome to Meng-Ting, who joined the Lin lab on 1st August 2019. She is currently a Master student in the Department of Life Sciences and Institute of Genome Sciences at National Yang-Ming University. Meng-Ting is interested in deciphering thirst-sensing in the fruit fly.
